St. John Eudes Parish

Bereavement Ministry


	St. John Eudes Bereavement Ministry provides liturgical, spiritual and practical support for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Bereavement support is provided by concerned and compassionate parish members who have completed an Archdiocesan training program. The Bereavement Ministry provides a support group to help the grieving cope with and understand the many aspects of the grief they are experiencing so they are not alone on their journey to healing.

	LITURGICAL Support:
	•	Helping plan vigils and funerals
	•	Assisting at funerals
	•	Leading vigils and graveside services
	•	Preparing and assisting with the Annual Memorial and Remembering Mass
	SPIRITUAL Support:
	•	Facilitating the Bereavement Support Groups
	•	Providing on-going support
	PRACTICAL Support:
	•	Attend Bereavement Training Programs offered at various parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
